The Last Beach Pics of Summer

Enjoy these last pictures of summer at the Outer Banks, NC.
These shots were taken on August 31, 2010
as hurricane Earl loomed on the near-horizon.
We are among the thousands trying to make the
wisest decision about if and when to leave.
Give us wisdom, Lord!
(Please read my closing at the end of the pictures.)

We do NOT own this house! Isn't it pretty... & HUGE!

Hope your summer was a happy and fun-filled one!
Be on the look-out for a contest & give-away on
my website, here on my Blog, & on my FB page.
A big 'Reveal' will be made at the same time.

I am SO ready for Fall.
Are you?

Blessings on you & yours!

Creativity of Small Hands

I have always loved to see the creativity of children.
Whether it is building a sand castle at the beach,
using playdough to make snowmen, building a tower
or bridge with blocks, or using clay to make beads,
it is so interesting to see how each one differs.
Last week my eleven year-old granddaughter shared
with me the most amazing creations I have seen
from such small hands. She used the new thin,
colorful 'sticky sticks' for kids and made a set
of miniature food from a fast food type
restaurant which was SO very realistic
I could hardly believe it was NOT real.
Look at the pictures below and see what you think!
The last picture is a flat clay 'Nativity' her older
sister made last year for me when she was eleven.
The entire nativity measures only 2" x 2.75".
I don't know about you,
but I LOVE the creativity of small hands!

Have a blessed week and enjoy the creativity of
the 'small hands' around you.
Thank you, Lord, for our children and granddchildren,
and for the creativity you give their small hands!
